Stores are adjusting their times and policies to reflect this new change. That’s why it’s important to plan ahead and do your shopping early. Holiday hours will be different this year, and it’s best you know what they are, and which stores will be closed.

Here is a list of stores that will be open Easter Sunday. Keep in mind, store hours will vary as will state or local laws. One major change is the recent limit of customers allowed inside at a time at Wal-Mart. As a friendly reminder, the first hour of shopping is dedicated to the elderly and vulnerable.

Grocery Stores

If you need that last minute item, these grocery stores will be open.

Wal-Mart – Most locations will open regular hours Easter. 7 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. Be prepared to wait.

Albertsons – Regular hours. 7 a.m. – 10 a.m.

Kroger – Regular hours. 6 a.m. – 12 a.m.

Tom Thumb – Regular hours. 7 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Whole Foods Market – Regular hours. 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Pharmacies

You can fill a prescription or get that missing candy for an Easter basket at these pharmacies.

CVS – Regular hours. 8 a.m. – 9 p.m. unless it is a 24-hour CVS. Check with your local CVS online first before going.

Walgreens – Regular hours. 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. unless it is a 24hour Walgreens. Check your local Walgreens online first before going.

Hardware Stores

The two major hardware stores will be open Easter Sunday as well. You can finish the project you started before Spring is in full swing.

Lowes – Regular hours. 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. Check in with your local, some stores have been closing as early as 6 p.m.

The Home Depot – Regular hours. 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Other Stores that will be open

Most stores will be open, with holiday hours that may change closer to Easter. For now, here is a list of stores that will be open Easter Sunday.

PetSmart – Regular hours. 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Petco – Regular hours. 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Also, their Curbside Pick-up is available.

Sears – Regular hours. 9 a.m. – 10 p.m. However, check online for your local store. Some Sears across the DFW have been temporarily closed.

Conns – Regular hours. 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Family Dollar – Regular hours. 8 a..m – 8 p.m.

Dollar Tree – Regular hours. 8 a.m. – 8p.m.

Dollar General – Regular hours. 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Bass Pro – Regular hours 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Typically, Bass Pro has an Easter event for kids, this year it appears that has been cancelled. Something to plan for next year.

Academy Sports + Outdoors – 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Total Wine – Regular hours 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. Liquor stores are closed Sundays and Easter is no exception. Which is why you should stock up Saturday. Good Friday hours may change. Check with your local store.

Specs – Regular hours 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. Check hours for Good Friday.
