April 2:
Easter Bunny Photos, Hulen Mall, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Go to the lower level in front of Sears. All kids get a complimentary pair of bunny ears just for visiting. (The same hours apply to the Parks at Arlington Mall bunny event.)
Easter Bunny Photos, Ridgmar Mall, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The bunny takes a lunch break from 1:15-2 p.m. and 5:15 to 5:45 p.m. All visitors get a free gift. See photo pricing.
Disney on Ice, Fort Worth Convention Center, 7:30 p.m. $10 tickets are still available for April 2 only; see my past post for details.
The History of Texas Dinner Theater, Alba’s Italian Restaurant, Fort Worth. $25 gets you dinner plus an entertaining dinner show. Dinner starts at 6:30, show at 7:30. Visit The Company Theatre for details.
Good Friday music, First United Methodist Church in Hurst, 7 p.m. Hear a performance of “Requiem” by Gabriel Faure. Free event. The church is at 521 W Pipeline Road.
Mesquite Championship Rodeo, Resistol Arena, 7 p.m. Tickets are just $11 for adults, $6 kids. See this site for details and tickets.
Monk Revisited, 7 p.m., Arts Fifth Avenue in Fort Worth. See a documentary about musician Thelonious Monk. Tickets $15 general, $10 students. Arts Fifth Avenue is at 1628 5th Ave.
Carson & Barnes Circus, 4:30 and 7:30 p.m., LaGran Plaza in Fort Worth. Affordable circus that comes here about twice a year. Visit this site for BOGO coupons. Tickets are $20 adults, $10 kids.
First Friday Dance, 8 p.m., Southside Preservation Hall in FW. Dance to big band music. $12.50 cover. The hall is at 1517 Lipscomb St.

April 3:

Cowtown Farmers Market, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., 3821 Southwest Blvd. in Edelweiss parking lot. Lots of locally grown produce and other fresh products.
West 7th Egg Hunt, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., corner of Norwood & Crockett streets in Fort Worth. Egg hunt, Easter bunny photos, face painting and more. Many nearby stores will also have special discounts. Free event.
Peter Rabbit Trail, Country Critters Farm, 10 a.m. Enjoy hay ride, maze, petting zoo, train ride and more. $7 per person. The farm is at 3709 County Rd 617 in Alvarado.
Easter in the Stockyards, 12-5 p.m., FW Stockyards. Easter Egg hunt, live bunnies and chicks, and at 4 p.m., the standard Fort Worth herd of steers will parade. Free.
Home Depot Kids’ Workshop, various times, local Home Depot locations. This week, your child can build a butterfly house for free. This activity is designed for kids ages 5-12. Most classes are between 9 a.m. and noon; call your local store for details.
Michaels Craft Workshop, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Michaels craft stores. Kids can decorate an Easter pail for free. While supplies last, so get there promptly!
Easter Craft Workshop, Bass Pro Shops, 12 p.m. Kids can make Easter decorations. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., kids can also get a free 4×6 photo with the Easter Bunny. Kids 8 and under can do an Easter Egg hunt from 2-3 p.m.
Animal Exploration, River Legacy Science Ctr in Arlington, 2 p.m. A naturalist will lead you on a live animal observation of native animals. Free but must RSVP by calling 817-860-6752.
Spring Fling, Chandor Gardens in Weatherford, 1-6 p.m. Enjoy a performance of Alice in Wonderland from 1-3:30 p.m., a concert from 4-6 p.m. and other family activities. You can also bring a picnic. Tickets $10 adults, $5 for kids and kids 5 and under are free. The gardens are at 711 W. Lee Ave in Weatherford.
Nestle Toll House Cafe Grand Opening – celebrate the opening of the new cafe at the Watters Creek shopping center and enjoy free mini cookie samples, BOGO cookie specials and more. See www.watterscreek.com for directions.

Easter in the Park Pooch Parade, Lee Park in Dallas. Watch dressed-up dogs parade in the Turtle Creek area. Free to watch the parade and enjoy live music from the DSO (you can bring a picnic), but there is a $10 entry fee if you want to enter your dog. Lee Park is at 3400 Turtle Creek Blvd. Registration opens 11 a.m., parade is at 1 p.m.
