Santa Stroll in Grand PrairieRing in the season this Thursday, Dec. 1 at Grand Prairie’s Santa Stroll. At this free event, which begins at 6 p.m., attendees will enjoy entertainment from local elementary schoolers, then walk along the streets of downtown Grand Prairie in a candlelight procession. At the end of the walk, you can listen to musical entertainment from secondary school students – including a Hallelujah Chorus sing-along.

When the procession is over, you can witness the lighting of the town’s Market Square and Main Street and shop at local downtown merchants. Santa photos will be available for $5; hot chocolate and Christmas cookies are $2 each.

If you plan on walking in the candlelight procession, be sure to download a candlelight app on your smartphone before you go, for a safe, nonflammable light. The application called “Free Candle” is probably your best bet.
