Camp El Tesoro in Granbury is having a “Mom & Me” overnight camping event from May 8-9. Moms, grandmothers, aunts and older sisters are invited to bring a special child in their lives to the campgrounds for two days of fun.

Registration to attend the camp just during the day on Saturday is $15 per person. This price includes lunch. If you want to stay overnight in one of the camp’s screened cabins, the cost is $50 per person. This includes lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday. However, you can get a $5-per-person discount if you register for the event by April 23. To register, fill out this form and send it in.

So what will you do at the camp? There will be singalongs, hayrides and a good old-fashioned campfire, complete with Smores. This sounds like a great way to spend some quality time with a special kid.
