About the National Multicultural Western Heritage Museum

The National Multicultural Western Heritage Museum was founded to recognize America’s many outstanding pioneers who helped settle the western frontier. The museum strives to acknowledge the invaluable contributions of individuals of Hispanic, Native, European, Asian and African descent who were instrumental in shaping America’s iconic Wild West.

The museum was founded in 2001 in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards and today hosts a rotating selection of curated exhibits and historical artifacts alongside a permanent Hall of Fame honoring the Buffalo Soldiers, Tuskegee Airmen, Native American Indian Chiefs, and the Vaqueros, or Mexican cowboys.
