whataburgerAs if Whataburger’s 12 days of free food weren’t enough. The fast-food chain is opening its first location in Westworth Village tomorrow, Dec. 19, and to celebrate they’re having a party, complete with freebies.

Here’s the lowdown: The restaurant is at 6520 Westworth Blvd. in Westworth Village. (For those who don’t know, that’s a small town on the west side of Fort Worth, near Alta Mere Drive.) You have two chances to claim freebies. From 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., there will be a live broadcast of “The Teebox Golf Show,” a show on The Ticket 1310, and the first 25 people to come to that will get free taquitos. Then, the official grand opening is from 1 to 3 p.m. that day. The first 50 guests to come through the dining room at both 1 and 2 p.m. will get a free Whataburger, plus a “football rally pack” that includes a football, backpack and rally towel.

Even if you’re not lucky enough to snag these freebies, you can enter drawings for $50 Whataburger gift cards – one will be given away each half-hour. Plus, there will be an appearance by the TCU cheerleaders and TCU’s Super Frog, and game consoles available so you can try out Madden 2010 and some other Wii games. Free food and free entertainment all rolled into the same event…what more can you ask for?
