Freebies at New Whole Foods in DallasNext week, Whole Foods Market will open their newest DFW-area location in the Park Lane area. This will be the Metroplex’s flagship store, with lots of good stuff. And if you attend their grand opening on March 15, you can take part in lots of cool stuff.

First, Maya & Miguel, characters from the kids’ show on PBS, will be there to entertain the kiddos. You can also hear live music. The first 1,000 customers through the door will receive a free “FEED bag,” which is a reusable grocery bag. Each bag represents 100 school lunches that have been given to kids all over the world. While you’re there, ask for a “Park Lane Passcard,” which gets you discounts at other nearby retailers.

If you can’t attend the grand opening, come by on March 17 for “Irish Up Your Day,” a free event featuring samples of Irish cheeses and beer. On Saturday, March 20, bring the kids by for “Kids in the Garden,” a special event designed to teach kids about trees. Each kid gets a free sapling to plant.
