Free Kids' Admission to National Polka FestivalWho’s going over to Ennis for the National Polka Festival this weekend? The festival, which runs from today (May 25) through May 27, features a variety of Czech-themed activities, including a horseshoe tournament, food, and of course…lots of polka music!  What’s great about this festival is that all kids 12 and under get in free. Adults are  $7 on Friday, $12 on Saturday and $10 on Sunday. If you want to see the country concert on Saturday night, add $17. See the entire list of events here.

Another bonus: It’s free to participate in the activities in downtown Ennis surrounding the Polka Festival. On Saturday at 10 a.m., there will be a parade to kick off the polka festivities, then a kolache-eating contest at 1 p.m. (Register at the Ennis Chamber of Commerce today by noon if you want to participate!) Then, on both Saturday and Sunday, enjoy a free street dance from noon to 3:30 p.m.
