The holidays are coming, and you can get geared up and prepared for them with a few free classes at retail establishments around Fort Worth. Here’s the lineup:

Nov. 8 – Williams-Sonoma will hold A Contemporary Thanksgiving, a workshop that shows you how to put “a contemporary spin on the holiday meal, featuring everything from a new approach to turkey to fantastic new sides.” Call the store for times.

Nov. 14 – come to your local Pottery Barn at 10 a.m. for Entertaining With Style, a class that covers all of the basics of holiday entertaining.

Nov. 14-15 – Williams-Sonoma hosts An Intimate Thanksgiving, which shows you how to prepare “a scaled-down menu with big flavors.”

Nov. 21-22 – Williams-Sonoma hosts A Time-Saving Thanksgiving, which instructs students on how to prepare a whole turkey and sides in 90 minutes.

Nov. 28 – The Perfect Cookie Exchange at Williams-Sonoma. Get tips for hosting a successful cookie exchange, as well as some great cookie recipes.

Nov. 28 and Dec. 5 – Holiday Decorating and Entertaining at Pottery Barn at 10 a.m. Join experts who will provide you with great ideas for the holiday season, from trimming the tree to setting the table.
