Through July 24, the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth is hosting a Modern Dance Festival in partnership with Contemporary Dance Fort Worth. This weekend and next weekend, you can see several live dance performances and other events for free. Here’s the schedule of events:

The Palace at Night – This performance by New Mexico aerial dance company Project IN Motion will be held on Friday July 15 at 7:30 p.m.; July 16 at 1 p.m.; and July 17 at 1 p.m. Performance will be on the Reflecting Pool Lawn.

Modern 101 & Flight 2011 – This lecture on dance will take place on July 16 at 2 p.m. in the museum auditorium.

The Butterfly Effect and Other Beautiful Catastrophes – see this performance at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on both July 23 and 24.

Cinematic Caricatures – this short film is shown for free on July 23 at 2 p.m. in the museum auditorium.
