Free Backpacks at Staples, Office Max This Week

Are you ready for back-to-school time? Two office-supply stores, Staples and Office Max, are getting people in the spirit by offering free backpacks through their rewards programs.

At Staples, all of their backpacks are being offered for free through July 31. Purchase one and fill out the necessary paperwork via their Easy Rebate program, and they’ll give you back the amount that you spent on a Staples gift card. Limit one backpack rebate per household.

At Office Max, members of their MaxPerks program can get up to 2 backpacks and get the price that they paid as a “Bonus Reward” in their account in September. Bonus Rewards are like gift certificates that can be spent on most anything in the store. See here for details and to join MaxPerks. They have a program for teachers and another for businesses. (You do not have to show a tax ID or any other paperwork to prove that you have a business.) Office Max also has other stuff free after Bonus Rewards, like pens.

These specials are good through the end of the week, but personally, I’d shop early to get the best selection.
