Come out to Traders Village in Grand Prairie for Fiestas Patrias for free on September 14 and 15! Join your community to celebrate the Mexican national holiday Fiestas Patrias, also known as Dieciseis de Septiembre. This special two-day festival commemorates Father Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla’s grito de Dolores and the end of Spanish rule in Mexico. The Republic of Mexico officially declared Dieciseis de Septiembre its national Independence Day in 1825.
