Celebrate the Earth in Fort Worth! Kick off Earth Month in Sundance Square this Saturday, April 6, with an Earth Party from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Activities at this free event include:
- 11 a.m.–Noon: Music by YOUR DJ
- Noon–12:15 p.m.: Presentation of Colors by Boy Scout Troop 326. National Anthem by SouthWest Sound Chorus. Welcome by City of Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price.
- 12:15–1 p.m.: Live music & entertainment by Vocal Trash
- 1–1:15 p.m.: Prize drawings, announcements, entertainment
- 1:15–2 p.m.: Music & entertainment by Vocal Trash continues
Visit more than 40 exhibits and demonstrations to learn about water and energy conservation, air and water quality, waste reduction and recycling, nature and environmental issues, alternative transportation options, pet adoption, emergency management, healthy living initiatives, and much more. Activities for all ages.
Don’t forget the After Party—View the environmental documentary film Tapped at the Fort Worth Central Library, 500 W. Third St., at 2:30 p.m. No charge for admission. The film examines the role of the bottled water industry and its effects on our health, climate change, pollution, and our reliance on oil.
