You know you have some – ancient, giant TVs, VCRs, computer monitors that haven’t seen any action since the days of Apple IIe. Haul them out of your closet and bring them to the Cowboy Santas’ Recycling Roundup, happening Saturday, Nov. 6 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at LaGran Plaza (4200 S. Freeway).

The Cowboy Santas program will use proceeds from Recycling Roundup donations to purchase toys, games and books for children who might otherwise not receive gifts during the holiday season. Items accepted for donation include:

  • computers
  • cameras
  • office equipment
  • entertainment electronics
  • multimedia items like DVDs, music CDs and VHS tapes, all of which must have their original covers
  • cell phones
  • sporting goods
  • musical instruments
  • vacuum cleaners
  • lawn equipment
