Ready for back-to-school time? No? Well, go to Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert’s “Back to School Fair” today and you’ll be one step closer. This event, a joint effort between the city of Dallas, local schools and community organizations, allows local residents to get free medical, dental and vision screenings and learn about other resources available to them. The fair is meant for economically-disadvantaged students, but anyone can attend – you don’t have to show proof of income or anything like that.
The fair also offers free school supplies, but only to those who have pre-registered for the event and meet income requirements. There will also be entertainment, crafts and face painting. It’s sure to be a good time. For more information, visit www.themayorsbacktoschoolfair.com. It will be in Dallas’ Fair Park, at the Automobile and Centennial buildings, until 3 p.m.
